About Dr. Nancy Mach, ND
Philosophy
My goal is to help you become healthier so that you can live more fully. I see myself as your partner and guide and you as an active participant in your health. Many of my treatments are geared toward diet and lifestyle so your participation is crucial. The beauty behind this approach is that it addresses not only your current symptoms, it often prevents future illnesses.
In my work, I strive to be the type of doctor that I would like to see. I take time to build a working relationship with you. My initial visits are 1.5 hours and follow up visits last approximately 1 hour. I recognize the importance of science, including lab tests and herb-drug interactions. I also recognize many factors contribute to health like beliefs, emotions, stress, and relationships.
What does naturopathic medicine mean to me?
I did not suffer from skin issues until I went to naturopathic school. I developed severe eczema. I remember how distracting it was to be so itchy and how desperate I felt to feel better. Luckily I was in the right field of medicine. I saw a naturopathic doctor who helped me. Now my practice is devoted to helping others get to the root of their health issues.

Education:
I graduated with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from Bastyr University in 2002. They have a rigorous 4 year program where I studied basic health sciences such as anatomy and pathology. I also studied all the wonderful treatments that naturopathic medicine has to offer like botanical medicine, homeopathy and nutrition. Most importantly, I learned the philosophy of naturopathic medicine, which is the guide I use to develop custom wellness plans for all my patients.
